The painting of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was created in 1879 by a painter from Kraków named Wojciech Eljasz. The image of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of the iconographic variants of this portrayal called Venite ad me ("Come to me"). He was inspired by a statue created in 1820 by Berthel Thorvaldsen depicting Christ the Merciful. His heyday took place in the 70s of the 19th century.
