Abstract

The Stations of the Cross in the church in Krzeszów were made by Ferdinand Stuflesser, Tyrolean sculptor, author of the largest part of furnishings of a newly-built church (under the invocation of Our Lady of Perpetual Help) in Krzeszów, around 1903. The funder of the work was Michał Baca and other parishioners. Apart from stations of the cross, there are also other works of Stuflesser, namely, high altar and side altars with sculpture decorations. Ferdinand Stuflesser was the owner of one of leading workshops in Gröden which he found in 1875, probably after he returned from Munich, where he studied under the supervision of Josef Knabel.
