The portrait depicts father Andrzej Braś, a parish priest in Kasinka Mała, acting from 31 October 1945 to 6 August 1966. The priest provided the church with crucial furnishings and renovated the altars. When he was the parish priest in the church in Kasinka, a range of works were created by the author of the portrait in question, Stanisław Ciężadlik (altars, Stations of the Cross, confessionals). The parish priest died suddenly in 1966. Thus, the painting is a posthumous portrait or one made during the final year of life of father Braś.
