The statue of St. Peter as one of the four sculptures was created for the high altar, which was built for the new church around 1780 by the Kornecki brothers - Antoni and Ignacy. Saint Peter was the brother of St. Andrew, a fisherman who joined the group of Christ's disciples and became his apostle. In iconography, one of his attributes are keys.
