St. Anne statue was created as one of four sculptures intended for the high altar, which was made for the new church around 1780 by the Kornecki brothers - Antoni and Ignacy. In the iconography, St. Anne was portrayed as a mature woman, because according to tradition, thanks to her prayer she managed to have a child – Mary – when she was in old age. She is most often depicted with her husband – St. Joachim.
