The painting "St. Anne with Mary and Joachim" was created in 1741. It is part of a series of paintings depicting the life of Virgin Mary's parents – Anne and Joachim in back choir-stalls in the church chancel. Its author was Szymon Czechowicz. Like other paintings, this painting is based on Roman graphic prototypes. It is distinguished by a dynamic composition, rich colour scheme and a subtle and sketchy brush stroke. The painting is undoubtedly one of the best works of Czechowicz, who is one of the most outstanding painters of Polish Baroque.
