Abstract

The altar finial of the former altar with the painting of All Saints originates from the church of St. Clement in Wieliczka. It was transferred along with part of furnishings to the temple of St. Sebastian, after the church of St. Clement had been demolished in 1786, destroyed by mining tremors. In the iconography of the representations of All Saints, the main figure is Mary, often with St. Peter, St. John the Baptist and other saints known by name, whose selection is various, most often associated with local cult, in relation to the multitude of nameless saints.
