The painting "Annunciation to Joachim and Anne" was created in 1741. It is part of a series of paintings depicting the life of Virgin Mary's parents – Anne and Joachim in back choir-stalls in the church chancel. Its author was Szymon Czechowicz. His composition is based on Roman graphic prototypes. The canvas, like other works of the series, is distinguished by its dynamic composition, rich colour scheme and subtle and sketchy brush stroke. The painting is undoubtedly one of the best works of Czechowicz, who is one of the most outstanding painters of Polish Baroque.
