The painting "Nativity of Mary" was created in 1741. It is part of a series of paintings depicting the life of Virgin Mary's parents – Anne and Joachim in back choir-stalls in the church chancel. Its author was Szymon Czechowicz. The painting based on Roman graphic prototypes is distinguished by a dynamic composition, rich colour scheme and a subtle and sketchy brush stroke. It is undoubtedly one of the best works of Czechowicz, who is one of the most outstanding painters of Polish Baroque.
