Abstract

Epitaph plaque of Stanisław Samuel Kalinowski came into being in the fourth quarter of the 17th century (after the year 1679), most probably in one of stonemason's workshops in Dębno. Stanisław Samuel Kalinowski was a hunter in Podlasie and a royal colonel. Between 1660 and 1679 he bought from Jerzy Sebastian Lubomirrski Łazany along with the together with the right of patronage over the local temple. He died in 1679 and was buried in the side chapel of the Łazany church, to which in his will he left the rent in the amount of 240 florins a year and for which he funded the altar of St. Stanislaus (does not exist any more).
