The statues of St. John Cantius and St. John of Nepomuk were made together with the whole high altar in the 1750s (before 1759), most probably in the workshop of the Kornecki family. Saint John Cantius came from a bourgeois family and studied at the Cracow University, where he obtained a master's degree in theology and where then he lectured. He is depicted in a professor's gown, often with a book.
