A painting depicting St. Anthony of Padua was probably purchased in 1887 and inserted into the side altar. In iconography, the saint is portrayed in a Franciscan habit and a tonsure on his head. He often holds or adores the Child, because, according to legend, Jesus appeared to the saint.
