Painting depicting the Martyrdom of St. Sebastian was painted probably in the fourth quarter of the 19th century or in the first quarter of the 20th century. It was re-mounted to the altar finial of the side altar. St. Sebastian was probably the emperor's guard leader, a Roman martyr. During the persecution of Christians in Diocletian times, he died tied to a tree and pierced with arrows by his torturers.
