Abstract

The side altar of St. Margaret might have been built by Antoni and Ignacy Kornecki in the fourth quarter of the 18th century or just by one of them. In the third quarter of the 19th century, a statue of Christ Crucified (which was later taken out) and new paintings were placed in the altar. Both side altars represent the most popular aedicula type of the 18th century, that is a single axis, single-storey reredos with altar finial, supported by two pillars.
