Sculpture of St. Stanislaus
Abstract
Figure of St. Stanislaus together with all the sculptural decoration of the high altar was made by Cracovian artisan Franciszek Maćkowski in 1922. It represents St. Stanislaus, who is showed by sculptor in accordance with iconographic tradition - in episcopal robes, accompanied by resurrected Piotrowin. Stanislaus from Szczepanów was a Cracovian bishop, martyr. He is one of the main patrons of Poland.
