Sculpture was created in the first half of the 16th centurty. The question of who is the author of the sculpture and where it was originally located remains unexplained. The statue has stylistic features of a late gothic reminiscences: numb but slightly opened lips, hair tied in strongly curled tresses, perizoma tightly wrapping hips and a simple crown of thorns composed of green bundles. Crucifix in Zembrzyce presents Christ in the so called Cristo morte type, characterised by the inertly lowered head and closed eyes.
