Abstract

The painting shows the Visitation of Saint Elizabeth to the Blessed Virgin Mary and is an illustration of a scene from the Gospel of Saint Luke (1, 39-56). Unfortunately, archival sources do not reveal the author of the work. However, one can establish an approximate time of its creation - around 1630-1651, i.e. in the time of creation of the whole reredos.
