The painting of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception was painted by Florian Cynk in 1912. The iconography of this image was based on the medieval representations of the Woman of the Apocalypse, therefore the symbols of the latter, such as a wreath of twelve stars or a crescent, have become her permanent attributes. In the work from Wieliczka, the painter disposed of many elements typical of the iconography of Immaculata, thus he created an extremely calm composition, illustrating Mary in glory, but full of humility.
