The painting depicting the Crucifixion was painted by Wojciech Gutowski in 1797. The scene was extended in an unusual way by groups of people and armies carrying crosses and banners to show the crowd that accompanied the convicts during the Way of the Cross to Golgotha. Christ is shown as alive (Cristo vivo), that is, when he says the last words before his death.
