Abstract

The polychrome of walls and ceilings of the church was painted in 1953 by Jadwiga Rymarówna, an artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. An iconographic programme – composed of quotes from the Holy Scripture and saint figures gathered around the crucified Jesus, Mary and the dove of the Holy Spirit – was created. The figures are surrounded by lush floral vine with open roses and bunches of grapes.
