The symbolic tombstone of sister Tekla Wężyk (1830-1911), located within the walls surrounding the church, was made only 20 years after her death. The body of the deceased rests at the cemetery in Cracow in a tomb belonging to the order, but due to her merits in Tenczynek and many years of service, a modest monument was erected for her here. Sister Tekla gave her inheritance for the construction of a school, together with other sisters she took care of the education of young people, ran an orphanage for children, looked after the sick and employed the poor.
