The sculpture was created in the 19th century. In 1907, it was re-placed on a balustrade of the music choir. Perhaps, together with the statue of St. Adalbert which constitutes a pair, originates from the currently non-existent altar. Iconography depicting St. Stanislaus with a small figure of Piotrowin illustrates the legend according to which Stanislaus raised Piotrowin from the dead so he would testify in court in favour of the bishop.
