The painting was created probably in the third quarter of the 19th century and re-inserted into the finial of the side altar. Rosalia came from a rich, Sicilian family. However, she disowned everything she had, took the vows of chastity and lived a hermit's life in a cave. Her attribute is a rose wreath which refers to her name.
