Abstract

The statue of Saint Barbara was created for the altar in which it is still located and, before 1842, it was transferred with it to the Morsztyn chapel from the Church of the Holy Spirit in Wieliczka. It was created around the mid-18th century, as evidenced by the sigmoidal line of the body, the theatrical gesture of the left hand and the characteristic arrangement of folds of robes.
