The painting that depicts Saint Barbara was painted by Józef Ignacy Maultz from Żywiec (1824-1878). The Woman Saint was depicted in a classic iconographic convention with traditional items in hands - a chalice with Host that before execution was brought to her by an angel to prison, and a sword that she was decapitated with. The Father of the woman saint, in his attempt to denounce Christ, closed her in the tower. Around the year 306 she was decapitated with a sword.
