The sculpture of St. Adalbert and the remaining sculptural decoration of the high altar in Orawka, were created around 1693-1705. The saint lived in 956-997. He suffered a martyr's death, probably pierced with spears. In the iconography, St. Adalbert is depicted in episcopal garb and with an oar in his hand, which refers to the legend, according to which the bishop went to Prussia on a mission, sailing there by boat across the Vistula.
