Abstract

The reredos originally served as the high altar in the former wooden church of the Holy Trinity in Jordanów. It was made before 1765. In 1914 the altar was moved to a new brick church. The architecture of the reredos is entirely unique due to the unusual use of external pilasters flowing down to the strongly forward-facing and separated pedestals. Such a solution is close to the architecture of Jacek Łopacki's tombstone from the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Cracow, attributed to Francesco Placidi (1763).
