Abstract

The picture of Christ at the pillar was probably made in the first half of the 17th century. It comes from the furnishings of the former wooden church of the Holy Trinity. After 1912 it was moved to a new temple in Jordanów. The Flagellation, as a Passion theme is one of the stages of the Passion of the Christ and one of the stations of the Stations of the Cross. Showing the Flagellation of Christ by torturers influenced the distinguishing the image of Christ at the Pillar Himself.
