Abstract

Sculpture was created in the second half of the 17th century. The question of who is the author of the sculpture and where it was originally located remains unexplained. Crucifix in Zembrzyce presents Christ in the so called Cristo morte type characterised by inertly lowered head and closed eyes. The name "crucifix" comes from the Latin word "crucifixus" and means "nailed to the cross."
