Abstract
According to the monastic tradition, the crucifix dates back to 1692 and it is the same with which Charles Ketner - a mathematician from Courlandwas who had been converted under the influence of reformer activity and joined a novitiate in Wieliczka - was to speak. The crucifix currently belongs to the Crucifixion Group with Our Lady of Sorrows ans St. John the Evangelist. The author of sculpture remains unknown. It is known that it was created before 1692 and this seventeenth-century dating of the work corresponds to its stylistic features.
