The painting "Virgin and Child with Saint Anne and Saints" was created in the 17th century. The theme Virgin and Child with Saint Anne depicts three figures – St. Anne, Mary and little Jesus. It has evolved from images of the Mary's Family. The painting from Wieliczka shows an enlarged scene with two saints, probably Mary's husband – St. Joseph and St. Franciscan friar (St. Francis or St. Anthony of Padua).
