The painting of Saint Rosalia is placed in the reredos from around 1700. According to the legend, Saint Rosalia was to live a hermit life in a mountain cave near Palermo. She was born around 1130 and died around 1165. People turned to Saint Rosalia especially during plague. She was portrayed as deceased, which is often found in her iconography.
