Abstract
The statues of St. Paul and Peter were most likely made after 1783. They were probably re-placed in the high altar, perhaps due to its alteration. Peter was the brother of St. Andrew, a fisherman, who joined Christ and became his apostle. In iconography, the keys are one of his attributes.
