The statue of St. Laurent was built in 1779, along with the entire rococo furnishing of the church. It was built by Antoni and Ignacy Kornecki - brothers who cooperated with each other. St. Lawrence was one of the deacons of Pope Sixtus II. He was tortured and burnt on a red-hot gird-iron, which is why it is his attribute.
