The painting of Saint Jan of Nepomuk was made in the 18th century in an unknown painting workshop. The saint was a canon of the Collegiate Church of Saint Giles in Prague, which is why he was depicted in the painting in attire corresponding to this position. Most often he is depicted as a man adoring crucifix held in his hand.
