Abstract
The painting with the representation of Saint Jadwiga of Poland donating her own jewels to the renovation of the Cracow University to the owner of Tenczyn – Jan Tęczyński – is to emphasise the relationship between the village near Cracow and that momentous event. The painting was created by the Cracovian artist Piotr Moskal and solemnly unveiled in the church in Tenczynek on 21 November 2000, shortly after the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the parish.
