The sculpture of St. Dominic was made in 1833 by Roman Łapczyński. It was made for the altar, where it is still located. The dog, demonstrated at his feet, symbolises loyalty and refers to the play-on-words name of the order established by St. Dominic – "Domini canes”, which when translated means, "the dogs of God".
