Abstract
The painting with the representation of Saint Barbara is a work commissioned in 1895 from an unknown painter in Oświęcim by parishioners from Bieńkówka, just as the painting of Saint Joseph and the Child. Undoubtedly, both works were created by the same artist. The paintings went to the finials of baroque altars purchased from the Norbertine Sisters in Zwierzyniec in Cracow in 1796.
