Furnishings of the church, thus the altars and sculptures, including the sculpture of St. Anne in question, were created in 1766 on the initiative of the then parish priest Andrzej Dominik Lipiewicz. In the iconography, St. Anne was portrayed as a mature woman, usually with her husband Joachim - because according to tradition, thanks to her prayer she managed to have a child – Mary – when she was in old age.
