The painting Our Lady of the Snows was painted before 1634. From 1658, the painting was under the protection of the Rosary Brotherhood. Then it was moved to a new temple, built in 1774-1775, where it was placed in the altar of Our Lady of the Rosary. The composition of the work derives from the painting "Salus Populi Romani" from the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome. In connection with the miracle that happened during the construction of the basilica, the image was called Our Lady of the Snow.
