The statue of the Virgin Mary was probably made in the 19th century. It represents the image of Mary alone, without any other biblical figures or symbols, Baby Jesus, or even Putti or the approaching dove of the Holy Spirit. Mary was depicted with her head bowed down and her hand gesture signifying acceptance.
