The painting "Our Lady of Sorrows" was created in the first third of the 19th century. It might have been made by Jakub Kornecki. The iconography depicting Mary, whose chest is pierced by a sword as an attribute of pain, is based on Simeon's prophecy (Lk 2: 34-35). Signs of suffering are also tears flowing densely from her eyes and a gesture of folded hands, indicating the expression of the greatest pain in rhetoric.
