Abstract
The painting placed in the high altar in the temple in Zabierzowice is an early baroque work. Its origin and the author remain unknown. It is much older than structure of the altar, where it is located – in the main area - as well as the temple in Zabierzów, which was built in the years 1878-1881. The work depicts Madonna and the Child standing on the crescent together with the anonymous funders shown in a reduced scale. Mary was imagined in the Immaculate Conception type.
