Abstract

The statue was made around 1870, because a contribution for its purchase was recorded in the parish chronicle, mentioning that year. The sculptures "Entombment of Christ," depicting the dead Jesus, were placed in the symbolic Holy Sepulchre (sepulchrum Domini) during Easter.
