The painting in question, in the church in Paczółtowice, is an independent painting composition depicting the Easter design of the Holy Sepulchre. The fact that the dead body of Christ, flanked by statues of angels holding the arma Christi, was laid on the altar, is evidenced by a monstrance with the Host and candle holders in the background. The painting is the work of an unknown artist with modest workmanship skills. It might have been created in the second half of the 18th century or at the beginning of the 19th century. In 1996, the work, together with a second painting of Christ in a Mystical Winepress, was maintained in the workshop of Małgorzata Schuster-Gawłowska, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow.
