The stations of the cross form a set of representations commemorating Christ's walk with the cross through the streets of Jerusalem from Pilate's praetorium to Golgotha, and his entombment. The Stations of the Cross at the church in Krempachy were painted at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries by an unknown artist, who used one of the most popular graphic patterns for the stations of the cross. Similar compositional arrangements can be found in many churches in Małopolska, e.g. in the paintings created in the 19th century for the Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Nowa Biała, the Church of St. Nicholas in Biały Kościół and the Church of St. James in Palczowice. However, the greatest iconographic similarity is represented by the Stations of the Cross in the Holy Trinity Church in Przytkowice.
