Architectural and sculptural furnishings of the church, including the statue of St. Peter, were created after 1765, most probably in the workshop of the Kornecki family of Gdów. Saint Peter was the brother of St. Andrew and a fisherman, apostle and successor of Christ. In iconography, one of his attributes are the keys which can be found in the Holy Scripture (Mt 16, 18-19).
