Abstract

In the parish church in Gruszów, on one of the side altars, there is a statue of one of the most popular saints of the 20th century - St. Padre Pio. It is probably connected with the local cult of the Italian stigmatist, who in his visions was to prophesy the pontificate of John Paul II.
