Abstract

Furnishings of the church, thus altars and sculptures were created in 1766 on the initiative of the then parish priest Andrzej Dominik Lipiewicz. With regard to the formal characteristics of the statue of Michael the Archangel, its creation may be attributed to Ludwik Ladislaw. St. Michael the Archangel was the leader of angelic choir and he defeated Lucifer during the angelic rebellion. In iconography he is depicted covered in armour with a sword and a shield.
