The sculpture presents Risen Christ who rose from the dead. It is used during the Resurrection procession, after which it is placed on the altar, where it remains until the Ascension. The statue is characterised by the static nature of its silhouette, idealized facial features and a gilded floral decoration, typical for mass sculptural products from the 19th and 20th centuries. It represents a classic iconographic depiction of Risen Christ, developed already in the Middle Ages.
